Robotics Innovation Challenge - check it out!

On February 9, 2012, the event Robotics Innovation Challenge took place for the first time. Here you can see pictures from the day, with key note speakers, an innovation catwalk, prize ceremony for the Robotdalen Innovation Award and large opportunities to mingle.

After their presentations the key note speakers took part in a debate; Per Strömberg, Director of the Institute for Financial Research (SIFR) at the Stockholm School of Economics, Anders Sandberg, Dr. at the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University in the UK, co-founder and writer for the think tank Eudoxa and Rodney Brooks, one of the world’s foremost roboticists, business leader and founder of iRobot and Heartland Robotics.

At an intense innovation catwalk several new robot products were displayed.

In a number of stands the conference participants could engage in discussions over robotics solutions.

Students from Malardalen University worked with a creative assignment for a new robot solution, among the visitors, and presented their work at the end of the day.

Interesting discussions and meetings took place througout the day.

The finalists for the Robotdalen Innovation Award 2012 were presented and the winner was announced. Johan Ingvast from Bioservo Technologies, who won the award, answers questions about their winning robot glove.
