Unique transportation takes mobile x-ray to the patient

X-ray examinations are expensive and time consuming. But now a mobile x-ray solution is developed, that can be transported in a small van. This means that patients can be x-rayed at nursing homes and health care facilities instead of having to travel to the hospital. The project is part of Robotdalen’s initiative Technology for Independent Life as a new line of business.

Technology for Independent Life focuses on solutions that give the elderly, disabled, health care staff and family members improved quality of life. Robotdalen supports the company Solutions for tomorrow AB in the continued development of their mobile X-ray solution.

The solution gives full clinical picture quality and can be used outside the radiology department. This provides an opportunity to bring the equipment to other departments in the hospital, or to transport it outside the hospital to clinics, nursing homes and other locations. The device can easily be transported in a smaller van, which makes it unique. The digital revolution has opened the door for the product and a prototype will soon be tested.

We move the x-ray equipment to the patient rather than moving the patient to the x-ray equipment, which reduces the patient’s stress and provides better care.
