We enable commercial success of robot innovations

By bringing together the industry, academia and public sector Robotdalen enables commercial success of new robot solutions for industry, service and health care. The solutions stem from actual needs and end users are involved throughout the product development, thus resulting in robot innovations based on market needs. By offering unique test beds for new solutions we also encourage international companies and entrepreneurs to develop their robot innovations and set up business in Sweden. Our vision is to become an internationally established innovation environment by 2019.

When Giraff Technologies AB moved their business from Silicon Valley in the U.S. to the city of Vasteras in Sweden, they became Robotdalen’s first international business establishment. The communications solution Giraff is now on the market in several countries in Europe providing elderly with increased safety and direct contact with health care staff and family members.

Robotics Innovation Challenge

Robotics Innovation Challenge is an event where we put the spotlight on challenges and opportunities for successful commercialization of robot innovations. The event is powered by Robotdalen and will take place again in 2015. At the event entrepreneurs, robot developers and end-users meet to learn more about trends and new products within the field of robotics. Renowned key note speakers share their knowledge and expertise and we've had key note speakers such as Rodney Brooks from Rethink Robotics, Renaud Champion from Robolution Capital, Dan Kara from Myria Research & Advisory Services and Erin Rapacki from Suitable Technologies. New robot solutions have been presented at an innovation catwalk and visitors have met potential business partners. We aim at attracting new interesting key note speakers, successful start-ups and important players from the robotics sphere for our next rendezvous. See you at Robotics Innovation Challenge 2015!
