Giraff makes 94-year old Italian feel safer at home

The EU-project GiraffPlus looks at how remote communication can function between elderly and health care staff. In an article on the brittish news site Wired researcher Amy Loutfi from Orebro University in Sweden talks about the project, and in a short film about the project 94-year old Nonna Lea in Italy describes her encounter with the robot Giraff.

Giraff Technologies have now sold over 100 units and participate in a number of European research projects to develop their solution even further. The company moved from Silicon Valley in the U.S to Sweden a number of years ago, supported by Robotdalen, taking their remote communication solution to the health care sector where it improves the quality of life for elderly living at home.
