Revolutionary medical tool for ophthalmic surgery
The Cognitive Retinal Generator (CRG system) is a medical tool for eye doctors, aimed at assisting ophthalmic surgery. It has been developed to be used in the treatment of an eye disease called AMD (Age related Macular Degeneration).
The CRG system will provide a way to precisely control a treatment with a verifiable injection into the retina in the eye. It is a unique robotic system that opens new doors to effective treatment for patients suffering from AMD.
CRG has been created by by Dr.-Ing. Mohammad Ali Nasseri at Technische Universität München, with support from e.g. Robotdalen. It was appointed as one of the winners of the Robotdalen Innovation Award 2015.
